December Visiting Teaching Message 2011

With Christmas right around the corner and so much to do this season I thought it would be nice to give you a Christmas themed visiting teaching holiday card for those you teach and anyone else you want to share it with.

November Visiting Teaching 2011

Since the November Ensign is a report of the October general conference and there is not a specifically designated Visiting Teaching Message for November, I thought I would provide you with an inspiring quote for visiting teaching that I found in the book, Daughters in My Kingdom, History and Work of Relief Society. You can learn more about this book here. I just got this wonderful book in our ward last Sunday and I already love it. I found the quote on page 118 and it is by Mary Ellen Smoot, the 13th Relief Society General President.

This month's visiting teaching message , "If We Do Not Doubt" by Sister Julie B. Beck, had many quotes I really liked but I went with the simple one for the handout. I like that this could have been said a hundred years ago or today and it still fits us.

Forget me not

After watching Pres. Dieter F. Uchtdorf give his talk, You are Not Forgotten at the Saturday Relief Society Broadcast I was inspired. If you haven't had a chance to listen to it, it is really great. I thought I needed to make myself a reminder of the things he said. I thought you might like to have a copy too so I am sharing it here.

Thanks to the Graphics Fairy I found this great vintage card with forget me nots that I was able to edit and add the message to.

September 2011 Visiting Teaching Handout

Hello blog world. Just want to scatter a little sunshine in the way of helpful handouts. I have been a graphic designer for 12 years and I thought it was about time I gave away some designs to help with LDS visiting teaching. (LDS visiting teaching is something Mormons do every month to help uplift and inspire women in the church. )

Below is the handout I made for September, earlier this month featuring a quote by Julie B. Beck. I'll start making these handouts available earlier. I have been brainstorming a list of LDS printables I will offer soon. Please let me know your ideas!
